A different kind of newsletter….

A different kind of newsletter….

I’ve been procrastinating and deflecting getting my newsletter up and out to the world.

I could come up with all sorts of reasons why I’ve been procrastinating, though the truth is that I wanted to put something out when I had more to give.

Sure, I’ve been talking about and writing about reinventing the future of leadership since the end of 2017.

Now, several other cool things are in place and it feels ‘real’:

  1. A best-selling first book on regenerating the future of leadership
  2. A globally recognized top 1% podcast on the future of leadership
  3. A series of keynotes on the future of leadership with a growing number of organizations
  4. Several articles on the topics my practice currently revolves around - here’s one
  5. A range of learning programs that are being launched to the world
  6. A series of alliance partners and ambassadors who support and want to promote my work?

I also didn’t know what to call this newsletter, so I reflected and reflected - I’ve always been someone who muses, reflects on things, and likes to explore things from different angles.?

I’ve also always been someone who questions and challenges - often coming up with fresh and different ways of seeing and addressing such challenges.

This is increasingly needed as we continue to evolve the future of work and leadership.?

Musing on some type of manifesto, this is what I’ve come up with for how I see this newsletter unfolding (which may evolve):

  • I’ll aim to deliver it when I’ve got something to say
  • I may interview some people for some editions to convey their musings and insights or tag people now and then who I speak with and are doing some interesting work
  • I’ll share insights about trends in the future of work, leadership, disruption, and culture and invite people to be open to thinking differently about what they’re reading?
  • I may even share and offer practical tips, in-depth articles, and strategies in these areas
  • I’ll ask challenging questions, to be curious about things that others may not be, or are too fearful to be curious about
  • I’ll always be real
  • You won’t find any fluff…it’ll be direct and to the point

I also won’t be using AI to write my content for me?

I’m also not looking to have millions of subscribers, as that’s never been the aim.?

I’m a true difference maker and I expect that other true difference-makers will be attracted to these insights and musings too.?

Along the way, maybe we can even cultivate a community of other people who like to muse and are true difference makers - whether you’re a CEO, Chief People Officer, VP of HR, in the Learning and Development world, a Training Manager, Hiring Manager or an emerging leader in your field, or someone who stumbles on what I’m doing somehow - you’re all welcome.

I believe the human brain is a powerful tool and yes, while it takes more time to write content like that (using our brain and capacity for thinking and musing), the result is authentic, genuine and real.

And those are the people I want and choose to be around - don’t you?

Thanks for being part of this path and I look forward to exploring the future of work and leadership together.

Please feel free to share what we're doing here with those in your network who might benefit from it.

Thanks for reading this far. If you or your organization needs any help with preparing for the future, please email me at [email protected]?
