Different (illogical) way to clarify your next career direction

Back in my corporate job, for a relatively long time I felt bored, demotivated, lacked growth and meaning.

But…I had no idea what I wanted instead.

Well…actually at first I used the logical traditional career path to re-discover lost motivated and excitement for what I did.

I did what was necessary to get the next level promotion and receive a salary increase (which was way lower than what I thought, but anyway…).

I celebrated with the friends and my husband big time but the following day I woke up feeling even worse.

I realized that nothing actually changed.

Of course, it felt great to be recognized and receive a higher title which I proudly added to my LinkedIn profile. It felt good. For a VERY short time.

I remember going to the office that morning thinking “is this it?” Is this what I am going to do for the rest of my career life?

I knew the answer. NO way.

The problem was the my super logical mind was lost, hence, stuck.

It did not have any suggestions apart from “just be grateful for where you are, b…tch, stop complaining, you’ve just got promoted, you have what many would love to have”).

The lesson I’ve learnt back then was that at some point in your career, all logical moves and ways to grow in your career won’t work. This is when you need to explore what is next in a different way, illogical way.

What is that way?

Desires-based way. “What?!?” -you may ask…

I know…totally illogical.

It took me years to accept that and then using this approach identify the best career move for me, my potential and my soul.

I appreciate if it is totally new to you, you would consider it totally crazy. But let me just plant some seeds. Just allow in what I say below with openness and curiosity.

Your desires are your direction!

They are in you, different from others, because they are showing you what is next for you. What is best for you. What is possible.

Your desires are actually WHO YOU REALLY ARE and your job is fully accept it.

You connect to your desires via a gentle inner voice, intuition, that is giving you this little “hints”, you just choose not to hear them.

“Is this it”?

“I know I can do better than that”

“I know there is more to life than this”

…and more….all these are desires-based intuitive nudges that I am sure you’ve experienced before.

But because the fear-based logical mind is VERY loud, it screams every time we allow ourselves to even consider something “crazy”, totally different, a quantum leap. Be it career transition or starting your own business.
