A different destination to consider...
We recently met up with Ana from InTours a partner DMC who represents the Adriatic Region and Montenegro.
We discussed Croatia as a conference destination and from the middle of this year there will be direct flights from USA and Seoul to Dubrovnik therefore widening the appeal making it a very attractive prospect for the conference market.
Montenegro is an emerging conference destination and we were keen to hear more about this country. Montenegro is a sovereign state located in South Eastern Europe and is a neighbouring state to Croatia. It is a country that’s around 14,000km2 with a population of approx 670,000!
With its rich history from its fight for freedom and being bordered by 5 countries, it is a crossroad of culture and for those looking to try a different destination for their next conference is definitely worth considering.
Holding an event in Montenegro means you can enjoy the good communication and hospitality the country has to offer and it’s not just meeting facilities in hotels, there are museums, theatres, historic venues and more.
The mild Mediterranean climate (with around 240 days of sunshine a year) and the favourable geographical location allow Montenegro to be an all year round European destination.
There are 2 international airports in Montenegro plus 1 in nearby Dubrovnik. With flights being just a couple of hours from all main European airports and regular low cost flights to the destination it’s easy to see why in recent years there has been an increase in tourism and why it is also emerging as a great conference destination. One to watch!
Thanks for coming in Ana
