The different categories of WEICONLOCK - our anaerobic adhesives and sealants
WEICON GmbH & Co. KG
We are WEICON! ???? Special chemical products for the industry. ???? Chemische Spezialprodukte für die Industrie.
In our Update, we would like to present the different categories of our anaerobic adhesives and sealants of the WEICONLOCK family in more detail.
Whether threadlocking, flange sealing, pipe and thread sealing or retaining cylindrical assemblies - WEICONLOCK products are suitable for many applications in almost all areas of industry.
Today we have selected four different types, which we will present to you in more detail.
?
?? WEICONLOCK ??
Anaerobic adhesives and sealants remain liquid as long as they are not in contact with metal and there is access to oxygen from the air. The hardener component contained in the liquid adhesive remains inactive as long as it is in contact with atmospheric oxygen. Only after the parts have been joined, such as screwing an adhesive-coated screw into a thread, can oxygen no longer come into contact with the adhesive so that it hardens. In the case of anaerobic adhesives and sealants, a distinction is essentially made between low-, medium- and high-strength products.
?
PEN System
Thanks to the patented WEICONLOCK? PEN-System, the adhesives and sealants can be optimally dispensed and lie comfortably in the hand. The stand makes it easy to put the bottle down.
?
Threadlocking
Threadlockers secure screw connections against self-loosening due to vibration and shock loads. Due to their good flowability, they completely fill the microscopically small spaces between the threads. This provides both protection against loosening and effective protection against corrosion.
WEICONLOCK? AN 302-43 is a medium-strength threadlocking. It has a higher viscosity and can be removed normally. The chemical threadlocking prevents screws from loosening due to vibrations, shocks or thermal loads.
The anaerobic adhesive is approved for drinking water applications, temperature-resistant from -60 °C to +200 °C and oil-resistant.

Flange Sealing
WEICONLOCK flange sealings are an alternative to conventional solid gaskets. Their sealing film leads to complete material closure and thus prevents fretting corrosion. Different strength classes are available, making it possible to keep the parts to be joined easy to dismantle.
WEICONLOCK? AN 305-10 is a high-strength flange sealing. It has a high viscosity and is difficult to dismantle. The chemical surface sealant is used to seal flanges.
?
Pipe and Thread Sealing
Pipes and threads must be reliably secured and sealed. A range of WEICONLOCK types are available for these applications to protect pipes and threads from leaks.
?
WEICONLOCK? AN 305-77 is a medium-strength pipe and thread sealing. It is highly viscous and can be dismantled normally. The sealant has drinking water approval (WRAS) and is DVGW and AGA approved. The sealant does not require labelling.
The pipe and thread sealing is specially designed for economical securing, fastening and sealing of threads, nuts, etc. The sealant reaches hand strength at room temperature after 15-30 minutes. Final strength at room temperature after 1-3 hours.
?
Retaining Cylindrical Assemblies
Threads, shafts, ball bearings or bushes often need to be bonded with high strength. The focus is not on loosening. Some WEICONLOCK types are ideal for this purpose, as they withstand both static and dynamic forces.
WEICONLOCK? AN 306-41 is a medium-strength retaining cylindrical assemblies. It has a medium viscosity. It is used to fasten bearings, shafts and bushes.
