Not all real estate teams are created equal! Some team leaders preach prospecting based lead generation while others preach relationship based lead generation and both provide extraordinary results when done consistently and with purpose. Most team leaders don't have any flexibility in their models. At Smart Move we coach to our agent's strengths. We also feel it's crucially important to stay engaged in both one to one and with the entire team. I cant speak for other teams but on the Smart Move team we meet multiple times per week to go over pipelines, appointments, and collaboration. The past few years during "the pandemic" most teams and even brokerages stop interacting with their agents leaving them to try and navigate one of the most challenging markets we have ever seen. Ive been coaching my agents from Day 1 that the past 2 years is not how the real estate business actually works and there will be a time when they will need to make adjustments in order to survive and to dig deep and figure out what makes them "Different + Better" and holding them accountable. At Smart Move Different + Better is a motto we live by!

Smart Move specializes in helping agents build their own brands and businesses with the assistance of Smart Move and powered by Compass technology resources. We have specific roles such as Director of Agent Growth who mentors newer agents and assists with coaching of our seasoned agents along with myself to help them develop the skills needed to thrive in the real estate business. We are different as most teams are more interested building the team brand and at Smart Move we want to build the agents brand. We have an agent focused approach and understand that every agents business is unique and thats what we want to focus on. Whether they want to be the best individual agent, build a team, be a coach or mentor we are here to support our agents goals. We are better because we hold very high standards for our agents while serving the public as its of utmost importance to be a professional. For a newer agent this is very important as they can leverage the experience, resources, and support from the team to ensure their clients they are in good hands even with a less experienced agent.

At Smart Move it's not always just business. I coach on the importance of work/life balance or I should say how you should manage your schedule and protect your personal time. This past Friday my wife and hosted a Pool Party for the team and the one requirement was not to talk business. Of course there were a few one off conversations but for the most part everyone adhered to the rules and we all ate, drank, and just had a good time.

While being on team may not be for everyone I highly suggest at least asking a look at what a team may have to offer. Hint: Ask an agent on the team what they love and hate and that should give you an idea if that team is right for you.
