Differences of V-type ball valve and O-type ball valve

V-type ball valve and O-type ball valve are a kind of ball valve. First, V-type ball valve structure and characteristics

V-shaped ball valve is a kind of efficient valve, its unique design, with the characteristics of a half ball spool with a V-shaped mouth. The V-shaped ball valve is code-named VQ and is designed in accordance with JB/T 13517 standard. Second, O-type ball valve structure and characteristics

The ball core of the O-type ball valve is the whole ball, and the runner is round, so it is called the O-type ball valve. Most of the ball valves we use are O-type ball valves. Its flow resistance is small, the switching process only needs the spool to rotate 90 degrees, so the switching speed is fast, and the AT cylinder can be used as a quick cut-off valve. The inlet and outlet are sealed with two seats, and the sealing is reliable. It can be used for gases, vapors, liquids and media containing a small amount of suspended particles. Three, V-type ball valve and O-type ball valve difference

1, the difference between the two spool structure is different. The flow path of the O-type ball valve is a complete circle with double seat seal. The V-type ball valve is a 1/4 half ball valve core with a V-shaped opening on one side and is sealed with a single seat. There are also global spool with V-shaped runner opening at one end, single seat seal or double seat seal form.

2, suitable for different media. The O-type ball valve is mostly used for clean media, or a small amount of suspended particle media, and zero leakage can be achieved when the PTFE tetrafluorofluoride seat is sealed. However, when the medium contains more impurities, or granular media, it is easy to clog the cavity, causing the ball valve to lock and the switch to fail. V-shaped ball valves are mostly hard metal seals, which are used for fiber, fine particles and slurry media. Because the V-shaped port and the seat can cut the fiber medium, it is widely used in the paper industry. Due to the use of partially spherical spool, and is a single seat seal, effectively prevent the medium from blocking the valve.

3, the applicable process control requirements are different. The O-type ball valve is mainly used for switch control, and the adjustment performance is not good. Equipped with AT pneumatic piston actuator, can achieve fast cutting. V-shaped ball valve has V-shaped mouth, good adjustability, adjustable ratio, up to 100:1 or higher. Equipped with pneumatic and electric actuators, mainly used for regulating control, can also be used for switching control.

4. Different flow characteristics. The flow characteristic of the O-type ball valve is quick opening, which is suitable for switch control. The flow characteristics of the V-shaped ball valve are approximately equal percentage, which is suitable for regulating control.

5, the flow channel size is different. O-type ball valve flow path size generally has two kinds of full diameter and reduced diameter. The V-type ball valve runner has different sizes according to the process and design requirements, and is generally reduced. Different ball cores can be replaced to meet different flow requirements.
