The Difference That Is China: Never Been Like The West, Has Not Been And Is Not The West

Such headlines as "China Forgives 23 Loans For 17 African Countries, Expands ‘Win-Win’ Trade And Infrastructure Projects" is bound to turn the economic values of the capital world on its head.

China is forgiving 23 interest-free loans for 17 African countries, after already cancelling $3.4 billion and restructuring $15 billion of debt from 2000-2019. Beijing pledged more infrastructure projects and offered favorable trade deals in a “win-win” model of “mutually beneficial cooperation.”

Peter Baka KenGemar when sharing this same post wrote "This is something the West think China is incapable of doing. China is fast becoming a positive progressive superpower and not long all countries across the globe will want to do business with China including taking soft loans for much needed infrastructure, especially poor developing countries."

Peter pointed out this in another article as well.

"Mainstream academics at Johns Hopkins University and Harvard Business School acknowledged in Washington’s establishment magazine The Atlantic that “the Chinese ‘debt trap’ is a myth.” Scholar Deborah Brautigam wrote that the US government-sponsored narrative is “a lie, and a powerful one.” Read the complete article below.

Winning Alliance By The Good Will Gesture Of Forgiving Bad Debts

Forgiveness they say is the fastest way forward. As it applies in human interactions, I believe it can be relevant in organisational and group settings like country to country relationships. We live in societies where obligations are created to be discharged. By this single act of forgiveness, China will grow exponentially in stature in people's minds. In the the battle for hearts and minds, China's act of kindness will have won over those it forgave in loans outstanding over to its side.

Applying Experience Of Poverty Alleviation And Defying The Odds

China's endurance and the present economic growth and feat of lifting 1+ billion people out of poverty is being described as the greatest human economic transformation in modern history. This the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has overseen beginning in 1978 that the West is now actually watching in a state of awe and jaw-dropping-mouth-opening disbelief.

China's Different Version Of Globalisation

Interesting and varying concept on European colonialism to Chinese concept/version of world domination. China sees itself as already unique (and existing in a higher state) that the world cannot be like China and its existence of one-country-many-systems can be the model for development as historically proven over thousands of years of its existence. China thinks of itself as the middle kingdom that does not need to export itself out to the world but the world must come to China. China throughout its history has not been expansionary and externalised (like European colonialism). The expression of their "universalism" (or superiority complex/ national pride) was very centred on China, geographically and culturally. A very fundamentally different and enduring idea that drives the ‘China Century’ that is very opposite to the European idea of changing the world. The difference that is China: China has never been like the West; It isn’t like the West; and China will never be like the West.
