The white Hat SEO
The White Hat SEO is a system of classic, ethical methods, which remain within the rules of the search engines! The result is visible in the long run. The rules impose certain constraints:
- no duplicate content,
- a keyword density of less than 3% of the content,
- use a whole semantic field around the primary keyword,
- quality writing,
- qualitative netlinking to his site,
- no satellite pages.
Google has nothing to punish here. This strategy requires more work, time for a return on investment. The big advantage is the minimal cost but the profitability is long term.
If SEO has its SEO guide internal to the company, the sensitivity will be on the white hat. The White Hat Seo is part of a global web marketing strategy.
Black Hat SEO
Black Hat SEO is perceived as a litigious or objectionable means of employing SEO. It's about automating certain actions.
The flaws of the algorithms are exploited for referencing. It's a step ahead of algorithm updates. Therefore, the challenge is to avoid also sanctions of relegation in the indexation.
The goal of Black Hat is very short term: to generate a lot of traffic without taking into account the expectations of the visitors.
The techniques of Black Hat can be:
- resume content from other sites,
- duplicate its own content,
- automate the production of content,
- Abuse the backlink by ignoring the quality of the sites,
- accuse a competitor of using Black Hat SEO,
- integrate invisible text (white on white or hidden behind an image),
- create catchy satellite pages that point to another site,
- use cloaking (different displayed content depending on whether a robot or a human consults the page),
- spamming (forced content).
Black Hat SEO or White Hat SEO?
The risk / benefit balance leans heavily towards risk. For a company whose website is a pillar of the strategy, or to preserve e-reputation, it is better to turn to the White Hat.
