Difference between us and "The Greats"

We read a lot about great personalities either via their quotes or small articles published on various platforms. We always do wonder how is it even possible to achieve such huge success without inheritance of great wealth, even those who have inherited they have extended it further which seems next to impossible for us to do in a lifetime. Sometimes a wave of motivation sweeps in and tells us that its possible but then, an enticing notification bell comes on the phone and its all gone. A multi-billion dollar idea gets corrupted just by a message or a video suggestion. So what is it that actually is different with these Legends of their own field. Lets find out , may be we can come to a conclusion together.
Most of the times we do wonder why cant we become like people who inspire us so much. Is it their hard work, is it the luck factor, is it the time at which they were born or may be the family they were born into. I am sure there are lot of valid points there but believe me there are lot of points that can disprove that theory as well. With every point there are exceptions, plenty of them. So what is it then, is it ..
- Passion
2. Hard-work and Discipline
3. Dedication
4. Drive to succeed
5. Dreams to fulfill
6. Desire to Improve continuously
7. Right place , Right time
Or combination of some of the points or all.....
All these points seem to be correct. Is there is something which works underneath all these points. In my experience it is ability to Focus more then anybody else. Recently I saw a docuseries on Bill Gates. After that, I revisited all these points more minutely. It was found that Focus was base for all these phenomenal capabilities. Focus is the fuel and all the other points mentioned are actually different modes with which these great people have traveled so far. The innate ability to focus for longer times day in day out is an enormous effort in itself. This is the reason behind the Good and the Average.
Most of the ancient civilizations also found Focus to be one of the most important factor to lift a seemingly normal human being to the heights of greatness. Various spiritual traditions like Tao, Zen, Buddhism or Dhyana are all intricately woven around focus. All they teach us to focus be it on a point or just stay still. Perhaps that is why the meditation seems so difficult and distracting because we just have to sit without action and focus on doing one thing. That is why most of us never get the hang of it due to our own weakness of not able to keep a focused yet calm mind.
This is where comes a different. hey are focus and we are distracted. I am not suggesting that all Greats meditate daily. But they are meditative during their work. All they focus on is what they see as their Goal, and at all times, it is their highest priority. Don't we remember the times when we had to achieve some results and had limited time at hand. All we could think was the goal and how to reach there. Completely focused and one pointed towards that journey. Most of the times we did succeed.
SO, WHY NOT RIGHT NOW!!
