The difference between the same port and the split port of the lithium battery BMS protection board?
Lithium battery protection board is divided into the same port and split port, if we assemble our own lithium battery how to choose? Let's find out.
The same port means that the charging and discharging use the same interface, which is only 2 wires.
Split-port means that charging and discharging are separate, and three wires are required.
The disadvantage of the same port is that it requires the MOS of charge control and discharge control on the protection board to be the same, and the current will pass through the charge control MOS when discharging, which increases the cost, internal resistance and heat.
Since the battery discharge current is generally much larger than the charging current, the MOS can be selected with a smaller current, and the discharge charging is not affected by each other, the disadvantage is that there is one more line, and some occasions are not suitable for use.
The charge control module and discharge control module of the charge and discharge protection board of the lithium battery are controlled by controlling the on-off of the MOS tube.
First check whether the charge switch tube (NOMS) is damaged;
Secondly, there is generally a short circuit module and charge and discharge current detection module on the protection board, if the charging current is large, the circuit will automatically enter hibernation mode, at this time, the general charger has considered the charging current situation, it will not cause the circuit lock caused by too much charging current. Therefore, it mainly depends on their own use, each has its own strengths, and the choice is still based on demand.
