The difference between KK modules and ball screw modules

KK module and ball screw module are two common linear motion devices, they can be used to achieve the linear motion of the workpiece, but they have some differences in structure, working principle and scope of application.

Structural difference

The structure of KK module is composed of guide rail, slider, reducer and motor, among which the slider realizes linear movement through the reducer and motor, and has the advantages of simple structure, light weight, convenient installation and so on.

The ball screw module is composed of ball screw, lead screw and support frame, etc. It has complex structure and heavy weight, but because it adopts ball screw transmission, it has the advantages of high precision and strong bearing capacity.

Working principle difference

The KK module is driven by a motor to rotate the reducer, thereby driving the slider to move in a straight line on the guide rail. Due to the use of gear transmission, the speed of movement is slow, but the torque is large, which is suitable for the linear movement of large loads.

The ball screw module makes the lead screw move in a straight line on the lead screw through the rotation of the ball screw. Due to the adoption of the ball screw transmission mode, its accuracy is high, the movement speed is also fast, suitable for the need for high precision, high speed linear movement.

Scope of application difference

KK modules are suitable for linear motion applications requiring large loads, low speeds and long strokes, such as machine tools, packaging machinery, etc.

Ball screw modules are suitable for linear motion applications requiring high accuracy, high speed, small load and short stroke, such as semiconductor manufacturing equipment, electronic equipment, etc.

In summary, the KK module and the ball screw module have differences in structure, working principle and application scope, and the suitable linear motion device should be selected according to the specific application needs.
