6 年Thanks Hariesh for your brilliant article. In our case we have 02 companies. One acting as International Freight Forwarder and One as Clearing agent. Must people make confusion especially with French appellation, 'Transitaire" for both actors. But in English everything is clear.

6 年Another great clarification Hariesh. Many companies using freight forwarders may not even realise the customs clearance part is being outsourced. So why don't all freight forwarders just have a customs clearance department? in my experience not all forwarders want to pay for the expertise and experience to employ a Customs Clerk(s) or for the computer software and link to the local customs system so its more cost effective to outsource.
