I'm working on a lovely young guy's application form for a new role.
Nowhere on the form or in the role profile does it actually state what the candidates are expected to do. What the job actually entails.
Literally nowhere.
There is lots of legalese, lots of HR buzzword bingo and it's all very pretty and legally compliant and I'm sure lots of people are patting themselves on the back.
However they have managed to write a role profile and application form that is so abhorrently bland and politically correct that they have managed to remove any and all mention of what the role actually is.
It would be hilarious if it was a one off, but having had a good dig into this employer's systems it seems that they now have this as an SOP and not one single role describes anything at all beyond the role title.
No wonder people are seeking assistance and no wonder their hiring process is in a mess.
If you were responsible for this, take yourself out back and do the world a favour.
