Today is Employee Appreciation Day and we officially celebrate our teams and those who make our dreams and visions a reality.??

In Chapter 11 Character, Allyship, and Finding Your New People in my new book, The Beauty of Success: Start, Grow and Accelerate Your Brand, I highlight the significance of creating a brain trust, enlisting the right allies, and truly having a community built on trust and partnership.

This has been a core theme that defines my own success and reinforces the true definition of a brain trust.

For me, I know that I can only be as great as my team! What is an idea, without execution and what is execution without an idea.? The beauty of a successful team lies in a connected brain trust of people united by a shared goal, a mission that binds them together even in challenging moments.

While it’s easy to revel in success, the true measure of an exceptional team lies in the collective ability to uplift one another during challenging times--when fatigue sets in, when things go awry, when budgets are tight, and when life throws unexpected disruptions into the flow of our business..?

Transitioning from an intrapreneur to an entrepreneur has required continuous growth as a leader and CEO, while navigating the complexities of managing and fostering an interconnected team. From overseeing expansive global teams in diverse markets and countries to steering smaller, more tailored groups, I consistently emphasize the value of individual growth. At every turn I have always said that we may not always be working together but my goal is that each person can walk away having learned something or accomplished something that will propel them further on their journey.Witnessing team members excel beyond the confines of my company brings me immense pride.

Today and everyday, I stand firm that the measure of success is a highly functioning, productive, and happy team!?
