Learning is probably one of the most under utilized skills that people use. Most people stop learning after college. They stop reading and then as a result, they stop broadening their viewpoint and cease to intellectually.
Why is this so important? For a few reasons, one, the more you know, the more you can help others. Second, the more data you have, the more you will be able to extract knowledge from the setbacks that you encounter in life. What I mean is this: if you are limited in your scope of knowledge, then when things occur, you’ll have limited ways to break that problem down, not as many tools and thus be limited in your own conclusions as to the what, when, where and then the next action you take.
Nothing has helped me grow personally in life more then feeding my mind with the correct knowledge.
Notice I used the word “Correct” because you have to be smart enough to know what’s valuable and what’s not. Knowledge that's valuable has actionable qualities, meaning it has less significance and more practicality in use.
If you read something that sounds cool and is whimsical, ask yourself, "Can I actually apply this in my life in practical way?" and if your still confused about it, try creating some examples and see if it holds up. If it does, you have Valuable data, if not, flush it down toilet.
Go get it,
