Network International is the largest acquirer in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and a leading enabler of digital commerce in the Middle East.

In July 2020 Network International announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire DPO Group (“DPO”), speeding up Network International’s growth in Africa through online payments and mobile money.

In November 2020, Mastercard and Network International joined forces to expand Commercial Payment Solutions in the Middle East and Africa.

In November 2020, Adyen announced its intention to expand to the Middle East and open an office in Dubai.

In April 2021, Stripe announced its official launch in the United Arab Emirates. This launch represents Stripe’s first expansion into the Middle East.

In June 2021, Adyen announced the expansion of its local acquiring services to include the United Arab Emirates (UAE), illustrating its commitment to the Middle East region.

Network International supports both Stripe and Adyen expansion into the Middle East and Africa (MEA).

Although Stripe announced its intention to acquire Paystack in October 2020 to speed up its growth in Africa while Adyen entered a strategic partnership with Cellulant in June 2019 to expand its footprint in Africa, their partnership with Network International for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) enables them to build redundancy for their African operations.
