Did you know that... only 20% of workers worldwide say to be in love with their jobs?

What is it? The term “employee engagement” refers to the degree of involvement and commitment of a company's employees, both with regard to their role and to the company itself and its values.

  • How rationally and emotionally are employees involved in their work environment and how motivated do they feel to contribute to the company's success?
  • and further, how well is a company able to actively engage its people, inspiring a sense of belonging, trust and commitment?

Why it is important: According to the findings of the 2021 Gallup report “State of the global Workplace”, creating a mental and emotional connection between employees and the work they do, their teams and their organization is crucial for improving individual and company performance - particularly in the wake of the pandemic, which has led to increased employee isolation.

  • Successfully conveying corporate culture in the long run results in increased productivity and creativity, as well as in an improved working climate and personal satisfaction.
  • An employee in love with his work

What are its benefits? Increased productivity is perhaps the most easily measurable benefit of increased employee engagement, but it is not the only one.

  • Having more satisfied employees also means an improvement of the entire corporate image: those who are happy with their work contribute to building a positive and uplifting corporate storytelling, both in the office and in their private lives. A happy employee thus becomes a kind of ambassador of an organization.
  • Employees who feel connected to their organization work harder, stay longer and motivate others to do the same.?
  • Focusing on employee engagement also means reducing turnover and retaining the most talented employees who might leave the company to seek new opportunities if not properly stimulated and rewarded. High engagement also increases the attraction of potential new candidates.

Angelini engagement survey involved 5400 employees, 88 % of the entire corporate population in 26 countries. This tool allowed the group to identify the strongest areas and those need of greater intervention, at the corporate engagement level.

·???For the majority of the Angelini Industries population, the most positive dimensions are a sense of belonging, trust in their manager and awareness of their role.

·???Among the aspects to be given particular attention in the future there are decision-making processes, information sharing, and simplification of the rewarding & compensation process.?

To conclude... As the Gallup report points out: creating a corporate culture and spreading it by putting one's employees at the heart of the company of it is undoubtedly a great responsibility, but in the end, it can turn into a great advantage!
