Did you know I am an Expert LinkedIn Speaker

LinkedIn has now been with us for over 21 years and in that time over one billion people have signed up to the platform, making it the biggest and most used Personal Professional Platform, used across the globe.

It has certainly changed over the years, because originally it was just an Online CV with not a great deal of functionality for anything else.

Now it has many functions that can be used by people in business be they solopreneurs or CEOs of global corporations. One area people forget is that it is a database and therefore can be searched, so you can find people and they can find you.

In fact, in late July 2024 the figures are.

Personal profiles 1,007,000,000

Company Pages 65,500,000

Education pages 122,000

I started helping people on LinkedIn back in 2009 after being trained and in 2018 I launched my company Solid Silver Solutions in 2018.

It was around a year until I started speaking as a subject expert, and that was at local networking events, and back then they were all in person. Although at the beginning I found it scary I found that it was not that bad and soon became addicted to it. I offered to speak at any networking group I was involved with and others as a guest.

As my confidence grew so did the lengths of my talks, some getting to 45 minutes. But in all of them my goal was to serve the audience and give them implementable information which would help them on the LinkedIn Platform.

I then offered my services to local expos and conferences and started presenting across the Thames Valley.

Along came the pandemic and I switched to online and my geographical limits were removed, so I spoke in Europe, South Africa, Australia, and America

The thing is that LinkedIn is global, Industry agnostic and available to people from the age of sixteen. That means that the potential audience for a talk on LinkedIn is 100’s of millions.

I do have two restrictions in that I only speak English and sometimes time zones are tricky.

One of the main considerations is what does the audience want from your talk, so I do a lot of pre-event planning and liaising with the organisers to ensure I know.

?

Venue and layout

Time and length of talk

Who else is speaking.

Expected size of audience

Demographic of audience

Desired outcomes of the organisers

What is expected of me?

What to avoid

Pre event promotion

What I plan for after event.

Any other considerations that the organisers have.

?

With all this I can provide what the organisers and audience with a fantastic experience, which will help my chances of getting rebooked, but for me it is people giving feedback and letting me know how making the changes they have learnt about, has improved their LinkedIn usage.

?

The reason I am so enthusiastic about doing this is that I know that the people I have spoken in front of, have heard me on a podcast or being interviewed on YouTube and digital TV, along with the millions of people I could reach all have a common challenge.

?

That challenge is that LinkedIn/Microsoft did not do two things for all of us.

1/ When we joined, they gave us not instruction manual just a small online guide to do the minimum.

2/ since we joined it has changed and does so weekly, but they fail (mostly) to let us know about these changes.

?

So, what my talks bring is solutions to those challenges. I show people how to set up their profiles, I show them the features that they do not know about and let them know of some of the rules that are being used of which you are not aware.

The outcome of this is that those implement what I tell them will get far better use of the platform and will save themselves time as well. They will have a high degree of certainty that what they are doing will work.

As I say

?It is not who you know (me)

What you know (what I have told you)

But the ACTION that you take (implement my training)

?

So, if your audience fits this description, or you know think they would benefit from my talks then please get in contact with me on [email protected]
