Did you get contagious today?

It was one of those busy days when I had a trip to another city and back on the same day. My running around started from the wee hours of the morning when I got up,got ready, dropped my son to school and rushed to the airport .The traffic that morning had developed a strange affinity towards me promising me to be present in loads at every lane that I crossed ! Thank God, good sense had prevailed and I had got my web check in done the previous night .I managed to reach the airport just on time and took a sigh of relief once I found myself seated on the plane 

As the flight took off, I started to finish my presentation for which I had been travelling. It was race against time that day! It was no better on reaching the other city. The uber I booked took its own sweet time to reach me and by the time I thought of scolding the chauffer for being late, I realized that Choubey ji,the chauffeur, belonged to my own city!!! There was a smile on my lips and the anger suddenly changed into affection ! A complete chatter box, Choubey ji made the travel in his cab a knowledgeable experience for me as he kept showing me the important places of the city and kept narrating the history behind their creation ! Choubeyji definitely had an alternate career option of a travel guide if someday he got bored of driving! 

The traffic had been specially crazy that day as told by Choubeyji and I kept wondering if I could reach back the airport on time ! And while all these thoughts kept swirling around in mind, my stomach on the other hand kept reminding me of the single loaf of bread that was offered to it right in the morning. The day seemed never ending and I kept running from pillar to post!

Finally I could manage to return back to the airport just on time after finishing my work and took a breath of relief when I found myself  seated at the aile seat of second last row... tired and completely worn out ! 

I closed my eyes and was wondering what a ghost I would be looking like as throughout the day I did not even get the chance to look at myself in the mirror . And while these thoughts were crossing my mind an air hostess walked up to me and said “Mam can I say something ? A bit puzzled I said " Yes please" and she said "You look very beautiful" ! My instant reaction was "you look equally beautiful " We smiled at each other and she left!

This little incident left me with a broad smiling and I wondered....Often in life it's just one smile or a compliment that makes us feel so much better , easing us from the tiredness and fatigue we face in our day to day lives each day !Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, or an honest compliment, all of which have the potential to turn a life around!

Remember smiles are contagious and so are compliments!
