Did you gain weight during the Covid-19 pandemic? Here is how I lost mine...

I LOST 28.6lb SINCE 7/2/2020...

In July of 2012, I was invited to be at the audience of the NBC TODAY show during my trip to New York. I was asked to be at the audience so I could ask a question. My question was this:

I've been meaning to lose weight for years now. I know what I have to do. I know what I should and shouldn't eat. I know how much exercise I must do. KNOWLEDGE IS NOT THE ISSUE! How do I find the MOTIVATION?

Well, the answer I got from NBC's nutritional expert was not helpful. However, on my flight back home I thought about it further. I was never an expert on nutrition, diet, or weight loss. However, two years earlier I had just completed my PhD dissertation, in which the research of motivation played a major role. Why can't I figure it out?

By the time I landed in DFW, I had a plan. I was going to lose 32lb by January 1st. It required a different kind of motivation than the obvious one. So, I put the plan into practice. I lost 32lb three days ahead of schedule and kept it off... Until the COVID-19 pandemic, that is...

When I saw my physician in January, he asked me how did I lose 32lb. I told him, and he literally insisted I write a book. So, I did. WORST DIET EVER... Since then, I released a second edition a couple of years ago.

As the COVID-19 pandemic started, the world changed. As much as I wanted to watch my weight, it started creeping up to where I was on July 2nd. So, on the 8th anniversary of starting my previous diet, I started it again, using exactly the same method. As of now, I lost 28.6lb. Exactly what I planned on losing.

I did but lost it once the gym opened up again. It was not easy because some days I was so exhausted. I had to force myself to go. Once I did I felt much better.
