We all have moments when we are bored. ??
However, the difference is for how long? ?
Like I said in an earlier post, if we’d know exactly what will happen at any moment, we would probably get bored to death. ??
The only moment when boredom helps us is when we are strategically using it to relax our mind. ??
The word strategic may sound fancy but it simply means to allow ourselves to not think about stressful things. ??
If we really want there’s always something stressful to think about. ??
Just think about Bill Gates. Have you seen any recent video of him? Sure, he’s happy and all but do you think he doesn’t ask himself some questions which would make him less satisfied with his life at times? ??
Do you think he’s perfectly satisfied when he knows that he still has so much to give to the world and fix its problems? ??
Even myself, when I feel I have too much free time and have the luxury to get bored, I feel less satisfied because I know I could be doing something productive. ??
At the same time, I realize that it is something quite normal and only temporary. I may have some times when my mind is able to relax to some extent (think boredom) but that helps me to go even faster when I’m ON, and I’m able to fully acknowledge that. ??
Just like we need sleep, we also need boredom but imagine staying in your bed all day and night. Then it’s probably not so good for you. ??
Would you rather die due to sitting too much in bed or due to working on your passion projects and making an impact on the world? ??
It’s rarely a black or white answer, but we must be conscious that we need to handle all our emotions in some way and accept them as being a helping hand toward a life we can enjoy each and every day. ??
If we get out of bed and are not excited about what we’re up to on that day, then we need to re-evaluate our priorities in life. ??
In most cases, if we don’t already know our passion(s) well enough, we only need to look into our past and we will find it. ??
It has never left us, but we may have forgotten about it. ??
Remember when was the last time you were excited to get out of bed and why, and there you can find the answer. ??
