DID YOU CHECK YOUR ALTERNATIVES?

The other day while navigating through the labyrinth of articles and blogs that internet readily offers, I was hit by something hard that got me thinking. Put across by one of the most famous influencers, the simple question he asked was “What are my Alternatives?”
Although super blunt, if we get down to a bit of deep pondering, this question might be the answer to most of the tough situations we are forced to face in our day-to-day life. In a world where you are being bowled over by the toughest circumstances, made to stand defenseless amidst the warzones of bitter foes, and where what you say doesn’t matter, asking yourself of the possibilities at hand might just be the best thing you could do.
Most of us often feel frustrated by the fact that we have been cornered by the positions of how it is versus how it should have been. In such cases, all we want to do is fuel our aggression and channelize our frustration to break the wall backing us. At the same time, we fail to take into consideration that the wall backing us might just be our support. In our blind rage of unintentional control mania, we rob ourselves of the choice that has been offered to us.
In such cases, the way out usually is standing right in front of us, staring at us right in our eyes challenging us to make the wiser decision by asking the basic question “what’s the alternative?”
In simple words, you don’t need to forcefully fit yourself into the mold cast by your predecessors. If certain things worked out well for them, it doesn’t mean you will be equally lucky. Make your own choices by asking your own questions.
T.D. Jakes once said, “Destiny is the push of our instincts to the pull of our purpose.” Now only if we have defined our purpose, can we understand the calling of our instinct and refine it every day with respect to our hopes.
Always remember that we have been bestowed by the gift of choice. And the answer to effective choice is hidden in the question- “What are my alternatives?”

7 年wonderfully written. Very nice perspective.
The most powerful line is "No matter what you think, you always have an #alternative. ..and when your “being patience attitude” start costing your much more meaningful things of life, and that’s the exact time when you got to take up a call to move on with the next possible alternatives, never giving up is the best thing to do, but definitely it should't be on the cost of your more valuable things in life. Now it is your ability to decided, how long to carry-on and at which point you must give it up in order to move on to the next options. Sometime in the life being impatience is the best thing to do. Be patience and wait with some pre-fixed deadline is good option, but limitless waiting for something & loosing many important thing on the way, it would be pointless I guess.
