DID Presents 2023/24 Annual Performance Report to Infrastructure Portfolio Committee

On Friday, the Department of Infrastructure Development (DID) led by HoD Masabata Mutlaneng presented our 2023/24 Annual Performance Report ?to the Gauteng Provincial Legislature’s (GPL) Infrastructure Development and Property Management Portfolio Committee.
HoD Mutlaneng said, “We are open to engage with anyone who is willing to provide suggestions on how we improve our service delivery approach. We have set our targets and therefore? it is? our responsibility to achieve and adhere to them. We welcome any advice from you on how we can improve as we are willing to go the extra-mile. It is not in our nature to prolong projects.”
The Chief Director, for Transversal Support Services, Levi Mashabela provided an overview of the Department’s current performance including updates on key infrastructure projects such as Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital, Helen Joseph, and Ditau Primary Schools. Mashabela detailed project milestones achieved and areas that require improvement for the DID to meet performance targets.
Furthermore, the committee discussed the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) highlighting the skills transfer initiatives and the opportunities available in the programme. The committee conducted an onsite oversight visit to the completely refurbished Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital Emergency facility which was delivered by the Department of Infrastructure Development.

4 个月Our government will take long to fix all infrastructures affected because our infrastructures need maintenance and remember some of our contracts has been abandoned and its where our country started fail, even the existing one's need innovations they are not in good conditions, follow ups needed especially to infrastructures that has not been finished, poor maintenance, failures of our municipalities and ward councilors affect communities .That is why we need hawks to help our public works by making sure that infrastructures are finished to each province .
