DID Hosts Final Round of Mandatory iDEP and PoE Training for Service Providers

The Department of Infrastructure Development (DID) will be hosting final mandatory training on our Infrastructure Delivery Platform (iDEP) and Portfolio of Evidence (PoE) system. ?The iDEP is a digital system introduced by the DID to enhance the efficiency, transparency, and accountability of infrastructure project management. The system is part of the department’s broader strategy to modernize infrastructure delivery, enhance accountability, and ensure data-driven decision-making.

According to HoD Masabata Mutlaneng, “It is important to realise that all Professional Service Providers in collaboration with all Internal Project Managers are expected to use the iDEP PoE systems for monthly reporting on all infrastructure projects that they are implementing on behalf of the DID. Going forward the Department will not accept reports in any other format either than performance reported on the iDEP and POE system. All Contractors are expected to have concluded and attended systems related training (iDEP and PoE) and ensure that access is granted in order to access both systems.? Reporting is a contractual requirement in terms of the Service Level Agreements and contracts signed by all service providers and no payment will be processed if this requirement is not fulfilled. Continued non-compliance with Departmental reporting standards may ultimately result in breach of contract, to which the Department may take further action in line with the provisions of the contract”.

To enable all Department of Infrastructure Development (DID) Contractors, PSPs, CPMs, and IPMs to be in position to comply with the Department’s project reporting requirements, a supplementary training will be hosted virtually on MS Teams on 20, 21 and 24 February 2025.

This initiative marks a pivotal step towards streamlining infrastructure project management, improving transparency, and ensuring accountability in project execution. The Department of Infrastructure Development (DID) remains committed to enhancing efficiency in infrastructure development and calls on all stakeholders to comply fully with the new reporting requirements.
