Did This Dude Have Help?

Did This Dude Have Help?

I have written twice about the Trump Butler shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks — once right after to figure out anything I could as I mostly process information through writing about it, and then once after a neighbor asked me, “Why do we know so much about Luigi Mangione and so little about this guy?”

The case still moderately fascinates me. I think the easiest explanation is that he was a misguided kid and he got into shooting, quite possibly to impress a girl — he apparently went to a local shooting club 43 times in the 11 months prior to the shooting, which is basically weekly — and he thought America was kind of a mess, so he figured he’d become famous by taking down a big fish. I have seen stories that he looked up Biden rallies too. It was more a “crime of opportunity” than anything else.

Recently guys like Joe Rogan, Elon Musk, and Bill Ackman have started a new conspiracy theory regarding “Why did CNN live-stream that rally when they didn’t live-stream other rallies?” That has just the right cadence of a right-wing conspiracy talking point, so people gravitate towards it, but it does feel like a little bit of a nothing-burger in the grand scheme of things. Maybe I am naive.

However, overall you can say this Crooks thing feels a little bit off, but it’s hard to pinpoint exactly why it’s off. You just think, “We don’t know everything here, and when someone shoots at a former President/candidate, shouldn’t we know more?”

Short answer is we shouldn’t, and the government covers up lots of stuff, and is currently doing that again with whatever the DOGE Bros are up to.

But if something is off here, maybe this video from The New York Post, based on supposedly seven months of reporting from PA, can help:

The main “revelation” of this video is about geo-fencing. If you don’t know what that is, basically it’s when you walk into a store and get served an ad on your phone for that store. The company probably placed a “geo-fence” around the store, and any phones inside of it can get served xyz-ad. You can also pinpoint phones that were near each other in a given time frame, which CNBC and others have done with Jeffrey Epstein’s island, and that’s essentially what NYPost did here.

Per their research, which is not necessarily fully explained, there were seven other phones that pinged near Crooks’ phone repeatedly in the weeks leading up to the shooting. I believe some of the phones even called each other. Since we have been sold a Crooks narrative of “ultimate loner,” it is weird he’d have seven phones near him or calling him or whatever, because I’m kind of a loser in many ways but have some friends and acquaintances, and I almost never had seven recurring phones in my orbit. It’s honestly probably rare for a man of any age, short of frat guys at 20 and groomsmen trips.

Could Crooks have been the fall guy/patsy for a bigger concept or enterprise or “deep state” takedown of Trump? Sure. That tracks better than a theory I always see online that Trump “orchestrated” the shooting to do the Patriot fist pump deal. No way. That shooting was three weeks after the first debate where Biden looked to be 107 years old. Trump was probably headed for a 42-state victory when he got shot at. I don’t think he needed to “orchestrate” anything at that point.

Could some shadowy liberal cabal want to kill him and they used a loner teen as the fall guy? Yea, it’s possible. I wouldn’t call it probable, but yes, there’s a kernel of possibility there.

We also learn in the above video that Crooks’ parents go grocery-shopping at 3am, which actually makes some sense on why we haven’t seen more from them. His sister (I didn’t even know he had a sister) has two jobs, apparently a server/bartender and a junior high janitor, and when NYPost went to her apartment complex, two guys confronted them and said, “This story is over.” Hmmm. OK.

Personally I am still on the “loner trying to impress a girl or etch his name into the history books” narrative here, but if “The Soros Seven” used a kid who couldn’t legally drink to take down Orange Man Bad, well, that would definitely be something Kash Patel and Pam Bondi should get cracking on releasing.

Any thoughts on this guy?

Occam's Razor applies. If it was any conspiracy, Trump would make hay out of it for sure and sick the MAGAT dogs on it.
