People talk, eat, sleep, play and do all sorts of things all throughout the day but the things that never stop are the hundreds and thousands of thoughts. Sometimes we get happy, sometimes sad, and sometimes confused due to them. And also sometimes we are taken back to our memory lane because of these wonderful thoughts.
On one such wonderful evening, I accompanied one of my friends to a cafeteria.
As hunger was the foremost mantra for me at that moment, I left no stone unturned to choose the choicest dishes available in the cafeteria. For a long time, I had not eaten dosa. So it was time to devour one of them along with tea.
I did not notice that my friend was observing closely the item I was devouring.
“Anir, have you ever eaten chakuli pitha from Odisha?”
“Yes, I love Odia cuisines. They are so similar to that of my native”
“Don’t you feel that dosa is similar to chakuli?”
“Yes, the shape and taste of this plain dosa look exactly similar to it”

“I am missing somebody”, he said.
“Oh?”
“Yes, he was one of my close friends. He died at a young age in a road accident”
“He used to be very reckless but he was a wonderful cook”, he continued,” Anytime he prepared chakuli, I could not stop licking my fingers. I cannot imagine he is no more here. He was only 28”.
“I am sorry to hear about him but what else does he use to prepare?” I asked. “One of his favorite items was chicken. Though he ate a small quantity of it, he used to ensure that there is at least one piece for everyone".
“Your friend was indeed caring but it is heartening to hear that his life got snapped out at such a young age”, I remarked.
What started as my quest to satiate my hunger, ended up in a nostalgic journey, right?
I wish I knew this wonderful person personally.?I hope his soul rests in peace.
