Much of the first week I'm going to share with you is relatively routine, but incredibly important nonetheless.
The first week of every month at the charity always includes full days of internal meetings in which we discuss progress, challenges and opportunities. These are followed by 1-2-1 meetings with my Directors.
These full days will always include:
I'm incredibly grateful for the amount of hard work and dedication that the team put in every day so it's really important to me that I regularly give them the time they deserve, while not stifling them and preventing them from getting on with their jobs.
Our Chief Financial Officer (Garry) and Chief Operations Officer (Nick) are an invaluable support in helping to continually keep the charity on track, while I try to concentrate on pushing it forward.

And a big part of pushing the charity forwards is working on collaborations and partnerships with external partners to explore ways of supporting each others work or collaborating to affect meaningful change for disabled children.
This week I have had the pleasure of working on projects with the Design In Mental Health Network, the All Party Parliamentary Group for Cerebral Palsy, the Children's Alliance and the Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
I also had really great meetings with David Webster, the CEO of two local hospices and some of the Employee Relations team at NFU Mutual to discuss various ways we can support each other and help more people in the process.
Throw in some interviews and the endless pile of administration that my wonderful PA (Perry) tries desperately to help me get through and the days fly by, I can't quite believe it is Friday already!
In future posts I will delve deeper into the intricacies of the charity and the impact it has on me and the rest of the team at the charity. Until then, take care and have a great weekend.
