Diaries of the war in Ukraine - can you believe Russian crocodile tears?

Over the past few days, we started seeing news in our media of mass walk outs, on Russian television and radio channels.?

That famous image of the Russian presenter, with a handwritten sign ‘No to war, don’t believe them, they are lying to you’ on Channel One in Russia, quickly got picked up by the world press.

She became a bit of a hero. The brave modern days' Lady Godiva of Russia, minus the nakedness.

People felt sorry for her for being stuck inside the machine of war.

I felt sorry for her too. For the whole day.?

And then because I live in the UK, the internet and common sense are largely available over here, I decided to do a little research into her.?

She was born in 1978, her mum was Russian and her dad was Ukrainian.?

Since the early 2000s, she has been working in television, climbing up her career ladder.?

Over the past 15 years or so, her job was to find, approve and prepare news segments.

Eight years ago, she was working for Channel One, Russia’s most popular TV channel. That is kinda like BBC over here.

In 2014 there was a famous segment, aired by Channel One, about a crucified boy in Sloviansk, Ukraine. The story was so big that it now has its own Wikipedia entry https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crucified_boy

For those of you who didn’t follow the news back then, 2014 is the year when Russia annexed a chunk of Ukraine on the border with Russia, the Donbas region, and the whole of Crimea.

Propaganda started working overtime in those stolen regions with the aid of Channel One, turning Ukrainians against each other and their country.?

It was obviously fake news, a say-so of one woman who allegedly saw the whole thing.?

However, the journalistic ethics in Russia is so fierce (NOT), that the story got aired?without verification.

It was the job of somebody like our Fake-diva to prepare the segment and air it.?

I don’t know if it was her, although very likely, but she admitted herself that for years, she has been aiding the Russian government to brainwash its people.

She knowingly has been deceiving her viewers. For 20 years. That is a lot of years.

After we all got bored of her and moved on, she published on one of her social media profiles that her life as she is knows it is over and that she can’t go back to work.

Also, her friends offered to take her out of Russia to France but she declined the invite because… wait for it…. she is a patriot of Russia and she would never leave.

She is still trying to sit in two chairs.

These walkouts aren’t because the people are waking up, repenting, and turning to support Ukraine.

They are rats fleeing the sinking ship.?

The sanctions are beginning to kick in. Slowly but surely.

If you are in TV, you hear and see things. And if you have half a brain, you understand where this is going.

So I don’t think they are just walking out of their jobs, I think they will be trying to get out of Russia too.

There are good Russians, intelligent brave people who speak out. But there is only a handful of them.

A lot of them left Russia years ago and they understand exactly what is going on.

The rest of the population are so brainwashed, that you can’t even have a conversation with them. And that is a majority.?

As I see images of destroyed buildings and the bodies of hundreds of innocent people of Ukraine, my people, who were simply at the wrong place at the wrong time, and a Russian soldier decided to shoot them for no reason, I can’t worry about another Russian Fake-diva.

I can’t worry about the fact that in some towns and villages you simply can’t buy tampons and sanitary towels.

Just don’t care.?

I don’t think it’s even hate that I am feeling. It’s nothing.

My soul and heart are bleeding for every child that died. And at the time of writing this, there are 108 children that lost their lives.

The grief and pain are so vicious, that I simply don’t have any space left to even entertain the Russian people.

And that is not just me. The people of Ukraine, within the country and abroad, all share the same feeling.?

We all are turned to our pain and to our war efforts.?

Russian and Ukraine relationships will never be the same.?

They will never be able to make it better.

We will never forgive.?
