Diamonds aren't the only things That shine

Like with all pieces of art, you will be impacted differently than I will be.  Diamonds by Manafest is one of those pieces.  For the writer of this song, it is about overcoming addiction (click the Explanation link below).  For me, it is about the beauty within and that regardless of where we are, light combats the darkness.  And light is a choice.  I will not get pulled in to the chaos, I will see good in others, I will not get rapped in fear by the cruelty shown to each other, I will not loose hope by the events in world politics... you get the idea.  I will choose to forgive, to show mercy, to show grace, and most of all, to love.  "And I know, love can make the darkness sing."

Jessica Quantick is an example of love making the darkness sing and I am using one of her images (used with permission) that made me think of this song - shining brighter than a diamond.
