The diamond shaping process - Part IV - Challenging, but less

I thought it would be a good idea to show another corner of said diamond with a significantly large looking natural skin (not necessarily the corner were following).

Even though this natural seems visually as or even more serious than the one of the corner we are following, it only looks like it is.

In reality this natural was planned as a non-issue "if" we succeed to tackle the one we are following as per our original plan. This natural should be eliminated before the other natural if all goes as planned.

Diamond naturals - the camouflage of polished

What's neat in this picture, we can clearly visualize the thin black laser marks on the left side of the natural which are the guiding signs (and shape outline) for the cutter.

The objective is eliminate by polishing this natural within the border of the laser marks. If successful, this so called border will become the diamonds final form and shape.

Also, the noticeable laser mark are evidence that the cutter still has a way to polish into the natural material before establishing the final shape."

- To be continued...

I like the expression ??scary looking natural??
