Diamond and Pearls Weddings...And More!

I've been asked several times if I only plan weddings, or if I do anything else at my business, Diamond and Pearls Weddings, LLC. In looking back, I started the business with the sole intent of being a wedding planner, however, after creating a recent styled shoot at Gauthier Vineyard? and planning other events, including multiple dinner parties, I realized that I absolutely LOVE planning and setting up the furniture and decorations for the event as much as planning the wedding.? I also realized that I am the proud owner of multiple sets of vintage china and glassware that would be perfect for setting up dinner parties.? Between these two realizations, and at the suggestion of my lifelong friend Tammy Kendrick to do so, I decided that I would add dinner parties and other events to my offerings.

To get an idea of what I do, look at the picture above, where you will see a rather unique table setting. It is a table for two under a willow tree at Gauthier Vineyard in Barhamsville, VA. The willow tree set was designed with a bridal couple in mind for when they need a minute to themselves between the wedding and the reception. A sweet table set up with a quick snack for sustenance and wine for calm is just what the newlyweds need to keep going for the rest of their special day.

Just as in the table setting above, I create with a goal in mind. In the willow scene, the goal was serenity and intimacy for a bride and groom. When planning a dinner party, I listen to you to understand what your vision is. Do you want formal? Casual? Funky? BoHo? What is your goal? Long, leisurely courses where the guests linger for hours at the table? A simple meal that is just part of an entire evening of events? A glamorous picnic for a wedding? Whatever you are dreaming, I can make it into a real event that will capture your vision and draw your guests into whatever story you are telling. You will be happy you called me!
