Elixir d'Anvers is a unique liquor produced in Antwerp, Belgium, brewed with 28 different kinds of herbs including saffron. It is a medium-alcohol medicinal that is effective in treating headaches, digestive aches intestinal disorders! This drink has been manufactured and supplied since 1863 using an exclusive secret recipe of the de Beukelaer family.
Managing Director Philippe de Beukelaer invented the Antwerp Diamond Cocktail, quite simply because the octagonal bottle of Elixir d'Anvers, with its multiple facets, reminiscent of a diamond. Here are the details:
16cl of Elixir d'Anvers liqueur
8cl Dutch gin Jenever 35% vol
6cl lemon juice
85cl apple juice
Serve in a glass of champagne, add two ice cubes and can improve the finish with strawberry or raspberry.
