THE DIAMOND OF A COAL FIELD

Have you ever heard the term Diamond in the rough? 

Have you ever met the happiest man on the earth? What if I say I found both of them in one person. 

#MeetAli, Much like his name, Ali is unique in his untainted happiness and purity despite working in a coal field for the last 14 years, sometimes working 20 hours shift too. And while his hands and clothes are often grubby, yet his heart is pure and brimming with love for others, his grin contagiously magical, so much so, that you might never pay attention to his otherwise grey attire. 

I discovered this diamond while wading and working in a field laden with coal. How can someone with the strenuous workload, limited income, and difficult conditions be so happy all the time? 

Hazrat Ali who originates from Swabi District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, says there is no extraordinary secret to his happiness. He accords this optimism and happiness to his spouse, his wife who despite being forced to live sometimes away from him owing to the demands of his work, always supports him and encourages him to do better. Ali gave me a new perspective to life how happiness doesn’t depend on the money you make, the job you have, or the perks you secure but with rather being with someone you love and love the people and the job you have.
