Dialogue in the Dark.

Dialogue in the Dark.

So, I recently have been to a place called Dialogue In The Dark.

Dialogue in the Dark is one of the world’s most exciting life-changing experiences where visitors are guided by blind guides in absolute darkness. We get a chance to experience daily environments of life like enjoying a walk in the park, take a boat cruise or visiting a restaurant in specially designed darkened rooms.

This place is completely dark and we can't see anything. All the waiters in DITD are blind and they guide us throughout the meal since the food is served in front of us in complete darkness.

The few hours or minutes of complete darkness makes us realize what it is like not to see the light.

However, going to this special place not only taught me some important life-lessons but also made me wonder about humans. I experienced the world of blind only for a while but, the senseless acts by visitors are something to think about for the lifetime.

Who shouldn't visit this place -

- Someone who wanna have fun, play jokes and laugh hard.

- Someone who just wanna talk talk and talk in the loud voice.

- Someone who is only interested in food.

- Someone who cannot follow the rules of this place.

This unique place is for people who want to experience the world of visually impaired/blind, to understand how they perform their daily chores, how do they find their way around, what do they think and feel about their surroundings!

For someone who has the ability to put themselves in the place of another and to understand their feelings.

For someone who knows "Empathy is more powerful than the sympathy."

So, someone who does not have any of these qualities should never go this place only to complain about the food/staff/darkness in the end.

It's time for people to put a full stop to the unintelligible acts like, taking pleasure in the misfortune of others & laughing at the disabled. It's never right to make fun of someone we don't know, it's a foolish act to interfere in someone's life and gossip behind their back, and it’s a crazy thing to try to rule other's life with your own opinions and rules.

It's high-time for people to understand that the only disability in life is a bad attitude.

We all must be kind in a world that is trying to make us heartless. It’s good to be nice, to be considerate & to be compassionate.

In a world where kindness is seen as a weakness too often, be kind and make this world a better place in your own little ways. After all, I believe a kind and loving heart is more powerful than anything else.
