Diabetes Daily Turns 13: Our Values & Birthday Infographic

Today, in 2005, we turned on Diabetes Daily. Elizabeth Zabell had been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, and we began a labor of love to share our experiences and learn from others.

We never imagined we would reach tens of millions of people!

As our modest community grew, so did our vision. We began imagining: what if we could help everyone touched by diabetes thrive? What would that look like?

Every person has a different path towards reaching their potential. At Diabetes Daily, we are committed to helping people find their own. We want everyone to:

Diabetes Daily By the Numbers

I struggle to comprehend the scale of change over the last thirteen years. Facebook was just a baby, long-acting insulin had only been on the market for five years, and the first continuous glucose meter was approved (but inaccurate). In that first year, we reached under 1,000 people.
