· Many corporations have made significant strides in addressing the "environment," but creating an inclusive workplace is equally vital for enhancing efficiency and employee satisfaction. To drive improvement, companies must prioritize tracking and transparent disclosures— a crucial role for the Women Workplace Index.

· We each own our narratives and must voice our needs and concerns, even within the workplace.

· The rising burden of maternity costs on employers' healthcare expenses is significant. Since 2019 maternity leave in Hong Kong was extended to 14 days but the cost of this continues to rise. The pressure women face while considering childbirth contributes to the region's declining fertility rates. Alarmingly, places like Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, and Hong Kong are among those with the lowest fertility rates projected for 2024, highlighting a critical long-term issue as most Asian countries fall below the replacement level.

Special thanks to Eve Lung from Friends of Harps (#FOTH) who performed two beautiful pieces for the audience to close the event.

By working together to advance diversity and inclusion, we can make meaningful changes that benefit us all.
