DHL MOD SERVICE LEAVERS INSIGHT DAY
A massive thank you to DHL UK for an outstanding day and insite to careers for those members of the Armed Forces who have decided to leave the Service.
Our Foundation member DHL, hosted a Services Leavers Insight Day at their main site in Rugby with over 40 Service Personnel (SP) attending from all three Services.?The aim was to give attendees an on the ground site visit whilst outlining many of the roles and careers available within this huge global company.?Attendees also got the opportunity fully understand DHLs Mission Statement, what they stand for, their culture, work ethic alongside DHLs binding principles under the Armed Forces Covenant (AFC) and the Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS).
The day was opened by Mr Tim Bolam Vice President Project Delivery alongside Sarah Wilmot DHLs Military Recruitment Manager who is also an Army veteran herself. Service leavers were able to speak to the DHL employees many of whom were also veterans through a series of excellent workshops on opportunities and careers across a range of employment including project delivery, transport, robotics, operations and diversity. Also on display was an alternative gas powered haulage truck along with the opportunity to walk the site.?
The day was closed by Mike Bristow, MD for Manufacturing Logistics.
This was a very highly successful day of collaboration between the military and industry.
