The Defense Freight Transportation Services contract is a 7-year transportation contract that is servicing the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), and their 17,000+ vendors nationwide. The United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM), an agency under the Department of Defense (DoD), awarded Crowley Logistics one of the largest surface transportation contracts in the Continental United States. The contract requires Crowley to manage Full Truckload (FTL), Less Than Truckload (LTL), Rail, Time Definite, and Flatbed Less Than Truckload. The contract also requires Crowley to support all equipment types such as 53' Dry Vans, flatbeds, step decks, double drops, RGN's, Rollerbed's, and includes heavy haul/ specialized. The DFTS contract went live with Crowley Logistics February 2018 and we are anticipating over 400,000 loads annually under the contract.
