DFE Assured and Funded Mental Health Lead Training for Schools

LMP Education?have teamed up with?Safe4Schools?to provide DfE Assured?Senior Mental Health Lead Training for schools.?This can be fully funded through a grant from the DfE.

The DFE have announced ￡3 million of funding for designated Senior Mental Health Lead Training which will enable schools across England to book and attend these assured grants funded programmes.

What does this mean for my school?

You will be able to claim a ￡1200 grant from the DFE which you can use to fund one place (per individual school site) on to the Designated Senior Mental Health Lead Training.?￡695 of this grant will be used to fund your place on the course. The rest of the funding is there to cover any supply costs that are incurred whilst your member of staff attends training.

When is the Training?

We currently have two course dates running:

March 28th & 29th Intermediate Programme. 16 Places.

April 21st & 22nd beginner programme. 16 Places.

What does my member of staff get out of this?

The course will equip professionals with the skills, knowledge, and expertise to effectively deliver and further develop their role as a senior mental health lead within your school. After the two-day course they will also receive 3 individual coaching sessions from our colleagues at Safe 4 School to support your school’s mental health support strategy.

How do I secure the funding?

To secure your place on this DfE quality assured training, you will need to follow the steps below to ensure you can access funding:

1. Check that you meet the?eligibility criteria and terms?for the DfE training grant.
2. Complete the?senior mental health lead training grant form.
3. Once your application has been approved, you can book your nominated member of staff onto your chosen course date and time by emailing [email protected]
4. Once your booking has been confirmed with LMP Education we will give you a unique code which you will need to draw your grant funding.
