DF24, Agentforce, clinical integrations, quote-to-cash mini-guide, entrepreneurship, custom campaigns, and more!
Hello Friend,
We’re well into autumn already, and this month at Kicksaw things have been moving forward as quickly as the leaves have been changing shades here in Bend. It’s a great time of year to take stock of where we’ve been, so that we can understand where we want to go before the year ends.
With that in mind, this month’s newsletter is all about reflection. We’ll be looking back at Dreamforce 2024 (including DF24 hot topics, like Agentforce) and visiting the link between my background and Kicksaw.?
We’ll also be reflecting on how to make the most of what lies ahead, with a clinical integrations blog to help providers get a handle on an ever-increasing amount of healthcare data, and a reminder that getting the small things right (i.e., marketing campaigns) can pave the way for new opportunities.
As always, questions are very welcome, as are conversations about how Kicksaw can help your organization get where it needs or wants to go.

California Dreamin’: Dreamforce 2024 Recap + Agentforce POV
For those of us still dealing with DF24 FOMO or trying to get a handle on Agentforce, an “in case you missed it” update.
DF24 was filled with the latest Salesforce info, certs, swag, and meet-ups for our attendees — with the biggest news being Agentforce, AI, Data Cloud, Revenue Cloud, and AI. You already know our experts were all about these topics; we’ve got:
Agentforce is an AI tool that allows you to build autonomous agents that can take action in your org. (this video link gives you a quick overview of its potential benefits). We’re playing around with some interesting Agentforce use cases, so hit us up to discuss them.
In other Dreamforce news, Kicksaw’s resident Slack Queen Ali Waguespack gave a stellar presentation about what it takes to ace the Slack Admin certification. As a Slack Community leader it’s a subject she knows very well so if the Slack Admin cert is on your radar, check out the link!
And of course, veteran Dreamforce presenter and one of our favorite Salesforce-based television stars, Janet Elliott, was back in action this year — with a session that could not be more appropriate: Finding Your Voice as a Salesforce Speaker.??
Clinical Integrations for Interoperability: Manage Data, Add Organizational Value, and Improve Patient Outcomes
The clinical data keeps comin’ and it don’t stop comin’ — and while we hate ourselves for that reference, it’s apropos for the amount of data provider organizations deal with on a daily basis. Have no fear, clinical integrations are here.
We’re sure you’ve heard us shouting from the rooftops about the importance of centralizing data, but we’re saying it again for the people in the back — according to an NIH study, interoperability solutions in healthcare are the key to overcoming some of the industry's most difficult challenges, and they promise to drastically cut healthcare costs.?
Interoperability solutions are achieved via clinical integrations, and the need for them is heightened by the amount of patient data being produced:
That’s a lot of data, but Kicksaw has your back. This blog will give you a rundown of using clinical integrations — with information about:

Real-Time NetSuite to Salesforce Integration: Your Ultimate Mini-Guide for Faster Quote-to-Cash
Don’t threaten our Engineering Operations (EOPs) team with a good time: when a client asked if we could make Salesforce CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) Orders in Salesforce sync to NetSuite in real time, we delivered.
ERP to Salesforce integration is a key component when optimizing the quote-to-cash or order-to-invoice process, and helps resolve pain points like connecting disparate systems, eliminating the need for duplicate entry, and improving data accuracy.?
This type of integration involves connecting systems in a way that:
Most Salesforce to Netsuite or ERP integrations keep data in sync via schedules, aka, not real-time — meaning data sits around and is only sent back and forth at specific times (e.g., every 30 minutes).
It gets the job done, but not very quickly, because it slows down the feedback loop and quote-to-cash or order-to-invoice processes.
Not great when every delay goes on to impact the customer experience, but we have the answer.
The Path to Entrepreneurship
How Kicksaw co-founder Kyle Morris used what he learned as an Army Ranger: “I feel as though my path to entrepreneurship was exactly the right one for me, and I hope to encourage others to chart their own path.”
With Veteran’s Day fast approaching we want to put a spotlight on something near and dear to Kicksaw, being a veteran-owned and supported business.?
Kyle sat down with Pete Ozolin, of the “Bend”ing Rules podcast, for a discussion focused on translating his military experience into building a successful start-up (that’s us!). They cover everything from nature vs. nurture in entrepreneurship to how Kyle’s background helped influence Kicksaw’s core values.??
If you’re interested in entrepreneurship and business, or like interesting conversations with a unique perspective, give it a listen.???
While we’re on the topic, if you’re a former veteran who’s trying to chart their own path forward, please know that for those looking into tech careers, there are resources out there to help you.
And as a proud member of Salesforce Military Alliance, Kicksaw does what it can to support the Salesforce Military goal — by hiring military service members, veterans, and spouses within the Salesforce ecosystem, to ease the transition from service to civilian employment. Keep an eye on our careers page for opportunities.?
Custom Campaign Influence
We have hierarchy worksheets! We have workbooks! We have automations! The latest news from Kicksaw’s very own Campaign Champs.
Every touch, first touch, last touch, some mythical marketing touch model as yet to be determined? ??
If it's one of the first three, Kicksaw’s Marketing Operations team (MOPs) can build them out for any campaign data that flows into Salesforce (they can even help you sort out the best way for things to flow into campaigns).?
Funky campaign data from MailChimp, event attendance data, anything that can be segmented into campaigns and member statuses — they can turn that into lovely opportunity attribution, so hit them up for some custom campaign magic. ?
We’ll see you next time, friends!
