DEWA and PMI Strengthen Partnership to Advance Sustainability;ACWA Power Signs Key Agreements with Aramco to Drive Renewable Energy and More...

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), met with Pierre Le Manh, President and CEO of the Project Management Institute (PMI), to discuss their shared commitment to advancing project management excellence and fostering collaboration in sustainable development. PMI, a not-for-profit professional membership association, was established in 1969 and now boasts over 2.9 million members globally.


Saudi utility giant ACWA Power has signed two significant agreements with Aramco aimed at advancing renewable energy projects and assessing the performance of vanadium flow batteries in Saudi Arabia’s climate. The agreements were announced during ACWA Power’s third flagship Innovation Days event.


Jinko Solar Co., Ltd. has been awarded a new supply contract as part of a significant 17.5 MWp solar power plant project in Egypt, developed in partnership with Misr Beni Suef Cement Co. and IRS Energy for Renewable Energy Solutions. This ambitious initiative aims to enhance environmental sustainability within Egypt’s cement production sector by integrating solar energy into industrial operations, significantly reducing carbon emissions and supporting the country’s clean energy goals.


Bolivia’s Minister of Hydrocarbons and Energy, Alejandro Baldivieso, revealed the country’s ambitious energy transition policy during his participation in the World Governments Summit in Dubai. Baldivieso emphasized Bolivia’s commitment to increasing renewable energy sources while harnessing its natural resources, particularly lithium, to support a sustainable energy future.


Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), delivered a keynote address on Dubai’s leadership in clean energy and artificial intelligence (AI) during the World Governments Summit 2025. Al Tayer’s speech, titled ‘Reshaping the Future of Energy: Excellence and Leadership Through Clean Energy and AI’, emphasized Dubai’s innovative strategies in clean energy, energy storage, and Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies.
