#DevWeek 2018 @ Endava

I am happy to announce that in Endava on DevWeek event, I was recently presenting "We buy cool features with our privacy!" - This is one of my security-oriented and interactive presentations in which I was explaining how we use free services, but we pay with our privacy.

From technical aspect, I was describing how link prediction works in all mainstream social networks and that's where magic happens. When we provide huge private data, social networks would be able to parse that data and categorize , and make statistical conclusions and connect users with items that belong to a certain category. That is usually used for marketing purposes, for start. We are predictable, and this presentation confirmed how predictable we might be, with the demo at the end.
