DevOps is a multi-tool development and project management strategy that is becoming more widely adopted by companies involved in app development, web development and IT projects in general. We're after the DevOps Enterprise Forum, so we wanted to share some insights not only about the conference but also about DevOps itself.?

Michal Stawski , Managing Partner New Digital Street: What has resounded during the conference is a high awareness of the importance of DevOps in an organization. Large companies have already had the implementation process completed for several years. They are currently looking to develop and modify existing solutions. This has been referred to as the transition from DevOps 1.0 to DevOps 2.0. This is an approach that we are also seeing in our business partners - not only the focus on programming is changing, but also on agile management, which is part of the DevOps culture.?

Bartlomiej Lewandowski , Managing Partner New Digital Street: In understanding the concept of DevOps, the key is not only competence but also culture, which changes the entire organization. Therefore, more and more companies are looking for developers with both strong DevOps Clouds competencies and soft skills to build a cohesive team.?

It is important to realize that 3-4 DevOps developers will not change the whole organization on their own, so it is essential that they are in tune with each other, and that they create a DevOps culture from the ground up.

DevOps and business needs

Michal Stawski: Due to the growing need to customize DevOps solutions to an organization's requirements, we see that the profile of DevOps developers being looked for has changed. Companies need versatile experts, specializing in multiple cloud solutions rather than one specific tool.?

Bart?omiej Lewandowski: The overall goal is always customer satisfaction with the application, which affects the company's profit. This is why companies want to carry out DevOps transformation, which enables the business and technical departments to work together, under the supervision of the security department. This provides greater opportunities to measure the effectiveness of activities, fix errors more quickly, and delegate tasks most effectively.

We also talked about extending agile management to suit the needs of an organization using Spotify as an example:
