DevOps Engineer with Phyton

The impact you will create:

• You will work with us on the implementation and operation of our decentralized container infrastructure based on Kubernetes and ClusterAPI.
• You will support the infrastructure and virtualization team in automating operational IT processes by developing and operating the required software components.
• Depending on your needs, you will develop everything from small scripts to Kubernetes operators to your own web applications in order to handle operational IT processes as efficiently as possible and to ensure the quality of our platform.
• Together with your team, you will take over solution design, solution implementation, testing, documentation and operation of the developed solution.
• In addition to the actual software development and the operation of the container infrastructure, you will provide consulting support in the selection of the right tools (toolchain) and the appropriate software architecture and help to build and operate them as needed.

Experience and skills, you will need:

• You a degree in CS or have completed training as an application developer with several years of professional experience.
• You are familiar with at least one object-oriented programming language and one scripting language and are able and motivated to acquire new skills if the job requires it. Knowledge of Python or Go is an advantage.
• You have experience with deploying modern applications on Kubernetes and running Kubernetes clusters. Ideally, you have had some experience with tools from the K8s ecosystem such as ClusterAPI, Helm or similar.
• You understand that DevOps doesn’t fly without Dev, nor without Ops and ideally you bring knowledge in IT infrastructure administration. Experience with VMware vSphere, Tanzu or similar products is a plus.
• You work meticulously and are still able to find pragmatic solutions in the short term.
