Devon Rewilding Network reaches 100 members

As we approach the end of 2023, we are delighted to see the Devon Rewilding Network reach?over 100 members, and?what a year it's been! We’ve delivered seven inspiring in-person network site visits to rewilding sites across Devon attended by over 100 people, facilitating the sharing of knowledge, experiences, and different rewilding approaches. We've visited some ambitious projects including?Rewilding Britain’s first rewilding cluster near Witheridge, home to beavers and water voles;? 150 acres of restored riparian habitat and natural processes in Dartmoor’s Mardle Valley, and a huge?managed realignment scheme on the lower River Otter near Budleigh Salterton. Just as importantly, we have visited some inspiring smaller-scale?projects led by fantastic creative and passionate folk, committed to nature recovery in Devon.? The 'Network Map' continues to grow with over 25 rewilding sites now added, connecting rewilders and enthusiasts across the county. We can't wait to continue?sharing the incredible rewilding work happening right here on our doorstep?in?2024.
