Whenever you apply for a job or change a new job, you will always face a situation where you have to choose either development or salary. Sometimes, you may not know which one to choose. You have also encountered a situation in which a job offer with low salary and development or a job has no development with good salary. If you face such kind of circumstances, how will you decide to choose?
I have asked a question to my readers on my blog. Here is the question:
If you are asked to choose one job, which one will you choose?
(1) A job with fair salary and development
(2) A job with good salary and no development
Most of the readers chose No. 1 and some chose No. 2. There is no right or wrong answer whichever No. you choose because the choice may vary depends on the person’s requirement.
When should you choose a job with fair salary and development?
People who should choose a job with fair salary and development are fresh graduates, has early career life, are trying to achieve the higher position in their career because this is the time for them to learn and build a strong foundation of knowledge.
People who have strong foundation of knowledge can reach to the top in the long run. Therefore, for those who are in their early career life should give priority to the development rather than the salary then the desired salary will be paid in the long term.
When should you choose a job with good salary and no development?
People who don’t have enough money to study or time to give for the development should choose a job with good salary and no development. Besides, if you think salary is more important than the development, you can choose the salary. Sometimes, high-paying job with no development has to be chose for the short term when someone has to earn and save money to do further study to advance their career.
Therefore, there is no right or wrong answer either you choose a job with good salary and no development or a job with fair salary and development. It all depends on the priority that you set or your situation. Besides, choice can be changed based on the age, position or the values.
Wishing all the readers to make a good choice for your career!

5 å¹´The best is to choose a job with both good salary and development. And if there is no development, one need to take the initiative to upgrade itself. Sometimes even if there is development from the organisation, it might not be the development the employee wants. So self driven learning must be inside everyone's dna now and can't just rely on the organisation's learning paths.
