In order to prevent and control the environmental risks of waste lead storage batteries, recently, nine departments including the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the National Development and Reform Commission jointly issued the Action Plan for Prevention and Control of Waste Lead Storage Battery Pollution (hereinafter referred to as the “Action Plan”) to jointly carry out pollution prevention and control actions for waste lead storage batteries , The overall goal is to rectify the environmental pollution of the illegal collection and treatment of waste lead batteries, implement the extended producer responsibility system, and increase the standardized collection and treatment rate of waste lead batteries. At the same time, specific goals were also put forward: by 2020, lead battery manufacturers will achieve a standardized collection rate of used lead batteries of 40% by implementing the extended producer responsibility system; by 2025, the standardized collection rate of waste lead batteries will reach 70%; by 2028 In 2015, the standardized collection rate of waste lead batteries reached more than 90%.

A large number of domestic enterprises participated in the project, and a large number of leading equipment manufacturing companies such as Zhejiang Mining Co., Ltd., New Energy, and Times New Energy participated in the project.

The annual output value of battery recycling will reach 50 billion yuan, and the recycled zinc, manganese powder 440, ammonium chloride, manganese dioxide, graphite rods, copper, bottom iron, etc. will increase the recycling of rare earth resources.

It is estimated that in 2035, according to the domestic sales of fuel will be completely stopped in 2035, the battery recycling field will reach a trillion scale, and 300 million fuel vehicles will face replacement.

The field of battery recycling will increase at an annual growth rate of 200-800%.
