Developing trusting teams

Developing trusting teams

Patrick Lencioni wrote a brilliant book "The Five Dysfunctions of a Team”, he lists the five dysfunctions that make teams ineffective.

  1. Absence of trust
  2. Fear of conflict
  3. Lack of commitment
  4. Avoidance of accountability?
  5. Inattention to results

The first dysfunction is the root of all problems. This stems from team members’ unwillingness to be vulnerable within the group. Team members who are not genuinely open with one another about their mistakes and weaknesses make it impossible to build a foundation of trust.?

How’s the level of trust in your team??

Have you done a survey lately to find out?

What can you do to increase the level of trust?
