Developing Pulse Community
Michael Spencer
A.I. Writer, researcher and curator - full-time Newsletter publication manager.
Do you work in digital marketing, do you write articles on pulse here? Let me know, leave me a comment on this post.
How to maximize our experience of LinkedIn as a learning opportunity, educational resource, and mind map for inspiration? The main reason I'm here, is to learn. I'm also a creator of amateur user generated content (AUGC). Websites that commit to this principle tend to do pretty well: the Reddit model. Here is a challenge for you, Commit to writing 1 pulse article a week.
- Research a topic for 1 hour
- Write and edit a topic for 1 hour
= that's a brief 2 hours of your week (maybe on Sunday?)
You might be surprised how this benefits your thinking processes, network and social opportunities.
I consider myself a community supporter & advocate here of budding writers and people who like to blog seriously. I'm an online community enthusiast, and instead of running around groups (limited), I'd like to develop writing and creative partnerships. I enjoy reading empowering and valuing the content of other writers, as I believe writing is educational, first and foremost. I think young people and amateur content creators can find new avenues of self-expression learning how to write, blog, create slideshare and create video content. These skills I believe, will be as important as a basic knowledge of coding in the future.
I'm looking for individuals who are passionate about digital marketing and could use a few more likes + comments on their digital marketing articles. Maybe you are a CEO or CMO who has yet to use pulse articles to their full potential, send me a message and share with me your concerns. This could drastically improve your LinkedIn experience.
What I propose is the following:
- To read each other's articles
- To comment constructively and in detail about them
- To recommend writers and influencers you respect here on LinkedIn
- To make new connects in the field
- To share useful digital marketing links on our Updates
Share this article, if you know other writers, copywriters, bloggers, content marketers or just enthusiasts who like to share and develop social feedback systems in their networks.
Improving your LinkedIn Experience
- Share and promote others (be generous)
- Add and link valuable content to your network
- Support and follow other article authors and influencers
- Create an Excel to expand on LinkedIn's limited analytics on article engagement
- Find the topics you like to write about the most
- Find new ways to be creative and interactive on each social media channel you are active on.

9 年Smart and sharp post Michael! I write about connecting and selling. I love using linkedin to connect and share my experiences from my career in sales. I also have a book coming out in September titled It's Time to Sell.

9 年I mostly write about tech implementations in the retail, food service, and hospitality industries. I try my best to keep it as untechie as possible while still covering all the bases. It can get hairy sometimes with new technologies and their constant state of flux. (ex: Google`s uriBeacon swapped out by Eddystone and now the two are getting confused) I find this medium to be better. Articles can be written, edited and published in hours (minutes if need be). I will occasionally post something outside my genre if the mood strikes.
