Developing Perspicacity & Confidence in Project Quality using 5th Dimensional Project Information Modelling Systems.
Daniel Okpara
Senior Project Planner (Planning, Risk, Strategy & Digitalization).
The objective of the 5D project Information Modelling systems is to allow feasibility studies and impact analysis of technical and logical programs by means of rehearsing the planned construction operations in a virtual environment. Using this method, an improved fine-tuning of the schedule can be achieved, and also avoiding soft clashes in space management before they affect project performance.
Basically, the benefit of the 5D system is to increase the perception and confident in the project quality, in its control capabilities and in the communication across the stakeholders, ultimately allowing the development of high quality collaborative projects and integrated, effective and reliable risk management strategies.
Application of 5D Project Controls Systems will help organize the project schedule and budget during preconstruction.
It will also help to visualize & explore the impact of change, and grow a firm's reputation.
